Waxwing
"Escondido Dreams" CD Cover (Drip Audio, 2007)
Waxwing, formerly known as Wilson/Lee/Bentley, is a collaborative trio that was initiated by Peggy in 2006 with saxophonist, Jon Bentley and guitarist, Tony Wilson.
The name change was initiated by Jon after it was noted that the group sounded more like a lawfirm than a creative music ensemble.
The trio released it’s first album, Escondido Dreams, in 2007 on Drip Audio and have since performed at various locales around Vancouver and at the Vancouver International Jazz festival, 2011 and at the CBC’s Signalfest-Drip Audio Nights, 2011.
Each member of the trio contributes as a composer/performer which expands the sonic palette of the collective.
